Economic, Environmental and Social Impact

The Phoenix solution will have a positive impact on social, economic and environmental levels. Applying our technology to the Phoenix business model targeted at municipal levels will improve upon traditional waste collection practices. Sorting and separating the recyclable plastic wastes from consumer waste will immediately reduce the volume going to the landfill site.  

Taking this plastic waste and processing it through the Phoenix PRO system will produce high-value energy in the form of fuel and syn-gas. If the PRO facility was partnered with the municipality, the revenue from the sale of these fuels could subsidize the cost of waste collection.

From a taxpayer perspective, reduced cost collection through a subsidy from the profits of this business model would result in lower taxes. From an environmental perspective, reducing the landfill volume and preventing plastics from contaminating the soil and water would lead to lower green house gas (GHG) produced, improved quality of crops and water that is free from potential leachate contamination.

An equally compelling social benefit is realized in the flexibility and independence of the Phoenix system. The PRO processing plant does not rely on access to the power grid because the configuration allows for the syn-gas produced to be redirected to supply electricity for the plant.

The batch processing configuration means that the plant can accept a wide variety of hydrocarbon-based wastes ranging from scrap tires, food wastes to plastics. The PRO technology can be configured to set up in remote locations, providing these communities with a system that would convert their wastes into fuel.

Communities that previously had to rely on importing fuel or energy or simply did not have the infrastructure to support a waste collection system would be able to use the Phoenix system as a means to attain energy independency while serving the needs of their community in an environmentally responsible and sustainable manner.
