Phoenix is the Engineer Project of 2016 (2nd place award-winner) by Canadian Professional Engineer Ontario (York Chapter). As a clean-tech company with a goal to reduce plastic waste and reduce carbon emissions through the conversion of plastic waste to fuel technology. We believed in 3Rs (Reduce, Reuse, Recycling) and we are the 4th “R” as Recovery.

Phoenix has always had a clear vision to turn waste into energy, with an ultimate goal of building self-sustaining eco-systems. Diverting a large amount of waste from landfills and incinerators, saves resources, reduces costs, and minimizes our footprint on the environment.

Plastic waste recovery is a largely untapped resource of renewable energy for Canada.  Phoenix’s plastic waste to fuel technology is able to convert any plastic waste into pump-ready fuels, namely gasoline and diesel fuel, which meet and exceed North American standards. This will help offset and reduce the demand for fossil fuels exploration and refinery, which contributes greatly to GHG emissions.

The company is able to serve a number of different industries through cost-effective waste processing. Being proficient at turning waste into valuable, reusable material is our forward-looking approach to dealing with the world’s 8.3 billion
tonnes of plastic waste. [ See Problem page for more >> ]
